Professor Mark has been training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for over 30 years and holds the rank of first-degree black belt with earned Professor stripes. His deep expertise and unwavering commitment to the art make him a highly respected instructor. Throughout his journey, he has had the privilege of training under many members of the Gracie family, including Grand Master Hélio Gracie, GM Rorion Gracie, Master Royce Gracie, and Professors Rener and Ryron Gracie.

Coach Mark, the founder of GridLock Academy, established in April 2008, has dedicated his life and that of his four sons, Mark Jr, Alexander, Rickson, and Rawnr, to preserving the legacy of Grand Master Hélio Gracie since 1995.
