About
Practitioners
Sensei Tim Tucker started his training with Hanshi Herb Johnson in 1993, he moved to Lebanon and earned his 1st degree Black belt under Hanshi Mike Kincaid in 1998. From the beginning of his training Sensei Tim Tucker has been blessed to have trained with numerous martial arts masters (Karate & Brazilian jiu-jitsu) and the top self-defense instructors (firearms & bladed weapons) from around the world.

In 2019, Sensei Tim Tucker was awarded his 6th degree Black belt and Masters Degree ranking in Shorei Goju Ryu. He was honored during the ceremony with a special presentation of Hanshi Herb Johnson?s original 6th degree Masters Black Belt by Kyoshi Steve Hankins, surrounded by his mentors, instructors, students and friends.

He is a lifetime member of the Professional Karate Commission, member of the United State Karate Alliance, member of the United States Karate-do Kai, member of the United States Martial Artist Association and a member of Rickson Gracie?s Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation and recognized as an Educational Unit Academy.

As a self-defense and firearms training professional, he continuously researches and develops new curriculum and training methods to make the experience for his students the best they can get.  Sensei Tim Tucker believes that although civilian students can obtain great training from various sources, they are missing a key component in their personal safety training, if that training is not reality-based.

Tim has a law enforcement background, a former LEO Defensive Tactics and Taser Instructor.  He is a Certified Instructor with the United States Conceal Carry Association (USCCA), Certified Chief Range Safety Officer and a Certified Instructor with the National Rifle Association (NRA). He is also a Licensed PreFense instructor under Steve Tarani.

Martial Arts is more than just Self Defense, it encompasses the Mind, Body and Spirit.   One without the other leads to an unbalanced life.  The mind is trained and grows through life experiences, education and the right counseling (peer fellowship).  It needs to be sharp in order to make the right decisions that guide and lead us through each and every decision we make for ourselves and those around us that may also be affected.  The body of course is trained by proper eating habits, stretching, breathing exercises and core training (dojo/gym).  Without maintaining our body we lose our health, energy, motivation and sometimes our self-confidence.  The spirit many times is neglected by most martial artists.  For me this is maintaining my personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  This is done by prayer, scripture reading, memorization and meditation on God's word.  Many martial artists are studying and looking for "The Way", in John 14:6 Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through me."
