The Companhia Paulista, commonly know as Cia Paulista, is an historical Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team enrooted in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Cia Paulista started as a small local team back in 1988 at an fitness academy called Cia Atletica, and it grew into one of the top Jiu Jitsu academies in the world. CPJJ was founded by Waldomiro Perez Jr, a student of Marcelo Behring, and is famed for producing high calibre fighters such as Roberto Godoi, Eduardo Leitao, Eduardo Santoro, Paulo Gazze Jr, Carlos Vieira, Marcel Leteri and for their strong links with MMA through fighters such as Rampage Jackson, Jorge Patino, Tito Ortiz and many others. Cia Paulista is a global BJJ team with academies in Brazil, USA, Mexico, Australia and Italy.
